Case arrived safely today, bass fits as snug as the proverbial bug in a rug, I am now confident enough to take it outdoors !Sandberg do not supply hard cases for their guitars/basses, only gig bags. So, given the thunderbird type basses reputation for neck breaks, immediately on receipt of the bass I started looking for one. First point of call was the retailer, Bass Direct, who simply told me that there was nothing out there which fits this Sandberg bass model ( the speed of their reply made me think they have been asked this before ? ). Gibson & Epiphone thunderbird basses do come with hard cases but for something that is "not mainstream" like this Sandberg Forty Eight bass which will not fit into a Gibson/Epiphone or any generic hard case, you really do need a good quality custom made flighecase,Problem Solved!!
